When you think of February, you might think of Valentine's Day.
At least, I do.
This month I will be highlighting my new kit - Forever With You.

It was just unpacked from the grab bag last week, so you can just purchase the kit or grab the whole bundle for a low price.
RIGHT NOW - February 2nd until the 5th the kit is on sale for 30% off.

Welcome 2012!!! - Goals & Determination

Well it's here, the new year!
Welcome 2012, let's get comfy.

This year I have planned on a few things. Here goes my list.

- Be crafty (how many things have you spotted and have gone, "Hmm, I love that, will have to do it." and never have? Yep, that's me.)

- Be scrappy (I got a total of 5 - yes people 5! - layouts completed last year. Also going to get more personal and journal more...YIKES!) I am happy to report that I got 2 layouts completed before 2012 even hit. I am off to a good start, what do you think?

- Be healthy ( I really need to lay off the sugar with a touch of tea.. pfft. Well, really it's more than that, the way I eat, no exercise, lack of energy, feeling like crap...and so on.)

- Be snappy (I need to take more photos.)

I don't think my goals are too unreasonable. It's just things I want to do more of. There are no set numbers of each, so I think I'll get through them.

I saw this awesome thread at TDC that really got me thinking.

I've decided to go along.
I am making 2012 my "PROGRESS" year!

There is only a day left in 2011. Wow!
Are you ready for 2012? New goals, a fresh start, a new number you have to remember.
haha, seriously. How long does it take you to remember that it's the new year and not the old when you are filling something out? Yea, takes me awhile.

So how did 2011 treat you? Happy it's over? Best year of your life?
2011 for me was a blessing. A lot had happened that I am thankful to God for.
I remember sitting in my bible study and saying to the other ladies that I felt that 2011 was going to be BIG! My feeling was right and it was big. Several major things happened.

I am thankful for the past year and the years before that. All I can say is bring on 2012. Let's see what you got.

Yep, you read the headline right. Heartbreaking news that I hate to post about.

My store at 9th&B is closed. I have no idea as of yet where my new home will be but keep an eye out for an updated post here, FB or in my newsletter when I do. It's an overwhelming issue for us all over at 9th and very heartbreaking. :( Thank you for your love and being fans. It's been awhile since I was last here. I apologize for that. I have been very busy this past month. The usual, work, kids' school, appointments, etc. I am actually writing this on Saturday the 1st, because well, I have a major event going on this week and coming weekend. We are moving!!! YAY!! Well, WOW! I just noticed the last post before this one. It was on the 15th of July. Oops, my fault. I was seriously busy for a straight 2 weeks. But I think being away from photoshop really paid off. I got some work done this week. NICE!

One Tough Cookie - Charity Collab for Keira

The first time she was diagnosed with Wilms, she was treated and she was cleared. Then recently, they found more cancer so she is undergoing treatment once more. We believe the treatment will be a success once again and so far she is doing great! Keira is a vibrant happy girl and we wanted to create this kit to honor her. Being the little survivor and fighter she is! This kit is perfect for scrapping any and all happy occasions. Packed to the brim with happy thoughts and loving sentiments. Color Describes You! - Interesting

This is interesting.
Before the end of the school year we (us drivers) had a little get together at the office. Here I was sitting and talking to a friend and she was telling me that her daughter had to do this project on colors. Specifically, she had to go around and ask people to describe themselves in a color. Now, I was like, well that is hard. How can you possibly answer a question like that? But then while sitting and talking the whole color issue was still running in the back of my head. Then, it suddenly dawned on me. Describing yourself in a particular color is really easy. After a light bulb popping on in my head, there we were back on the color issue.

Now, someone is probably reading this going, "Duh, you didn't know this?" No, really, I didn't. Because "frankly my dear....." *snort* I don't research this stuff, it's not on my to-do list, not on my "mommy radar, and well, I really don't think about stuff that seems minor. I mean, I know there are people out there that specifically research the whole color issue on what color matches you for clothing, but, again, I am not this person!

So, back to the beginning. Light bulb pops on and I go, "Wait a minute!". Literally, in the middle of a whole different conversation while she was speaking. HAHA! Did I mention that I have been told by my husband I have ADHD (and seriously going to see the doctor about this since there has been a HUGE amount of things said about it and pointed out to me), and when things pop in my head, whether on what is being talked about or so far off the topic, I just blurt it out...anyway, see what I just did there? Totally off topic :P

So, the whole "Wait a minute!" pops out of my mouth and she stops talking and just looks at me. I go, "I understand the whole colors thing, I think I can do this. We just have to figure out what color would mean what mood." Now again, did I mention that I am no expert and this is me just thinking? OK, I wanted to make that point of fact! :)

I start naming colors and putting moods to them.
Here is my little list:

Red: Angry; frustrated
Blue: (this one I was stuck with, well the certain word I wanted in mood, but more or less) feeling down, depressed, lonely
Green: You want to grow; explore; learn; active
Yellow: Chipper; sunny; happy go lucky
Black: Deep and dark
Purple: mellow, whatever

Well, those are what I think. I have yet to actually go looking to see what they would really mean. Wait......I'll do that now...be right back!

OK, so I googled:

I LOVE to go peeking into my gallery and seeing if anything new has been posted using something I made. This morning/afternoon I went looking and I grabbed a few pages to share.

I like the title work and the paper pieces used here and the photos are just too cute, isn't he adorable!!

This is just absolutely sweet. Not just the page itself but the story that was told for this relationship, amazing! Onto the page itself, just wow, the use of elements and clustering is great.
I like the split papers in different styles as well.

Simple, but what a bold story it tells. A recently new engagement spelled out in this simple layout. Loving the shadow work!

Happy Friday!!
My last day of work for the year and then Summer begins!! YAY :)

It's Friday - what does that mean? New Releases!!!
Yep, so I have something new that I have been working on.
Love Notes
I thought of doing this kit and then forgot where the inspiration came from.
Now it just came to me. Pinterest, yep, that addictive place...haha
No really, I was browsing through and saw this love note photo and there ya are.

Who doesn't like to be left a little note? I mentioned this in my newsletter about how I can't remember the last (if at all) that my hubby and I left each other notes. :0/
I think that is something that needs to start.
Think about it, really.
If you were left a little note that says whatever, how would you then go about your day?
I would be like, "Awwww" and carry that with me the whole day...lol
It really doesn't take much to reach in and touch something inside for me to melt. :)
My husband went out for something and came back unexpectedly with a box of my favorite tastey kakes, yes, to me that was an awww moment. Seriously, doesn't take much. So if I was left a little message that just said, "hi, thinking of you", I will be a goner all over again for my husband...lol

I guess since I started the subject of "Aww moments", that means I want to know what your aww moment is.

Hi!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Mine was filled with something from sunrise to sunset...literally. Got up at 5:00 to get myself and kids ready for the sunrise service at 6:00 and then breakfast afterwards and then our normal 9 AM service at our own church, Sunday School after that (which my hubby and I teach our own class of 1-3rd graders) and then afternoon spent at my moms and then dinner. Whew! I am still beat.

Anyway, I brought you hear to showcase a gallery standout.
I am really liking the photo-less layouts that I have been seeing lately.
This one, that was created using my The Hardest Part and Memory Keepsake kits just shouted out to me. With a full page of journaling, title work, element clustering and shadowing, what is not to love about this page?

11/20 - New Releases + Freebie

Oh wow! Yay, I am happy to be posting today about not one, but two new releases! I have been on a roll these past couple weeks :) And, I am even now working on something new...go me....go me...ha, just kidding.

Okay, so you wanna see what I have? First up, Heartfelt. I love the warm colors in this kit. Scrap all about the most close to you people in your life!

I have made a little add-on, word strips. Now these are the length of a 12x12 page, so they will fit right across your page like a border. The words are cut out, so place a colored or patterned paper behind it to make it pop!

Okay, moving on... I bring you "Goofball". The idea for this kit came to me when I was sitting and thinking about what to do with the swatch. My son comes in and happens to do this crazy thing, and a light bulb pops on in my head. A funny-goofy kit! So here it is. Do you have goofballs in your life? Did you capture a silly moment? Well, grab the kit to showcase it :) My son is hilarious. The things he does, the things he say, or the many (yep, I mean MANY) silly faces the boy can make. I'll have to post all of his faces. He has that expressive face, so no face he makes is the same!

Ooops... Bag was revealed and Sunny News!

Umm...ooops?!?! My fault I forgot to post about my grab bag being revealed this past weekend and now being sold separately :0/ I had everything else scheduled...could have sworn I set that post up..GRR...oh well. And here we are.

Saturday was a horrible day for me. I had the worst headache that I have ever had. I am not sure how it started. I woke up at 9:00, yea I got to actually sleep in being that my mom had the kids from Friday into Saturday. Anyway, so I woke up and felt OK, (well spelled Okay if my husband was reading this he would flip with the "OK" business...lol..that's another post all on it's own), then I started to have a bit of an achy headache feeling in the bottom part of my skull on the right side. I took some aspirin because it just felt like one of those headaches that if something isn't taken right away then it will be awhile before it works. A couple hours later, full blown headache. The only way I noticed that it would ease up is if I laid flat on my back and put my head all the way to the left. But that only lasted for a minute or 2 and then the headache was back in full force. I thought that maybe it was a tension headache, so I tried to rub the spot. Now this pain went from the bottom part of my skull and then (if this sounds right), it would have like spirals of pain go to my right ear and eye and forehead. A couple hours later, still no relief so I popped a couple more aspirin. It seemed like they weren't working. The only thing I could do was lay down. If I sat up or stood up, it was that blinding pain where you tense up and slam your eyes shut because the whole head hurts. Alright, so a few more hours pass, still no relief. Now, my family has a history of blood clots. My grandmother (mom's mom), died from one, my Aunt (mom's sister), died from one, my mom has had them since I was a young child, in her lungs, near her heart, and legs, she is on medication (blood thinner) for the rest of her life and has to get tested once a month to see how thick or thin her blood is. My other Aunt (my mom's other sister), has had several and she is on medication for the rest of her life. So here I am sitting and wondering if maybe I have a blood clot in my head. I mean, I never had this pain before, and never at the bottom of my skull like this, so I didn't know. But I am a procrastinator when it comes to my health anyway, because I say I will get better instead of going off and seeing a doctor. At one point though, I am crying in bed almost about to tell my husband to take me to the hospital, I just wanted the pain to go away. But anyway, on with my story. So I finally laid down and it eased and I just stayed in bed and eventually fell asleep. I woke up and the pain was just about gone. YAY!!! So here I went and took a couple more aspirin thinking, well it's almost gone now, I don't want to mess it up...lol...so I was making sure that it would go away by taking them. Ummm, yea...I think that was my wrong move. An hour later, my headache was back full force!!! I look back now and wonder if the aspirin was making my headaches worse then helping, at least that is how it felt...lol. Well I went back to sleep and it ended up where I slept the rest of the night but woke twice in the middle. Both times, I was almost screaming with pain, and it lasted for like a minute - who knows but it felt like forever, and then it would ease and be almost gone and I would go back to sleep. Sunday morning I wake up and poof!!, headache is gone. So WTH?!?!?!?! So bad tension headache? Bad migraine? What the heck was it? All I know now, is that it's gone and I never want another headache again.

Oh so, here we are at last. Sorry about that. I revealed my grab bag and each item is being sold separately...cool huh?

I went away Friday evening until Saturday evening, and Friday was a busy day...from the moment I went to work at 4:30 until we got to the camp and finally went to bed at 11:30 I was all over the place...lol I wasn't at home but for a few minutes to pack the car, so no relaxing computer time until today and that was after a very busy Sunday. I have been MIA for a bit with my hectic life. Things are finally getting calm!! YAY! I am coming out of my MIA status with a brand new collection.

My CT member came to me with a certain kit in mind and can I just say that there was a LIST of demands!!! HaHa! Just kidding (not really but she might be reading this :P ) She picked the colors, and even asked for specifics in the kit. I think I made her happy??...lol

Oh my, it's been a rough few months for my family and I. I have been MIA dealing with all of that. I am now back in the loop, s l o w l y getting creative again and doing some things. My last post was about me leaving Enchanted. A decision that I had to make and still feel bummed about. I am now only at 2 stores and that is how it's going to be unless I decide to go exclusive and hey, that is always in the back of my head...lol There are some things coming up soon, so stay tuned and keep watch. I was able to work with one of the designers I love :)

The lovely Laura of {simply.scraps} and I teamed up and created a duo collab.

Both kits are a go together type deal, one is for girls and one is for boys.

When your kids are in that older stage like my two daughters are (7 and 8), not yet "all" grownup, but getting there, but not in the baby stage anymore, you just need a specialkit to show them off!

oh my..just rememeberd, my (oldest) baby girl is going to be 9 next Monday :(...oh this is sad

Haha, did the heading give you a clue of what to expect?

Well here is my pirate kit. My CT member requested this kit.

She wanted it to be more real like then the ones that she has seen.

Believe it or not, I was nervous for her to see it, because well, I SO

wanted her to like it. It is filled with texture, metal, wood, fabric and just straight FUN!

The hardest and longest part to do in this kit were the pirates. I had to make

the pants look just right, and the shirt with it's cute little collar...lol

It's a little rough and rugged and just the way I want it.

I had fun making my little portal hole..:) my compass is a little plain, but HEY, it works..haha

Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.

"Help Haiti" is a very large kit. It contains 30 zips of papers/backgrounds, 12 zips of elements and 1 zip of templates and hybrid products. While the theme of the kit is love and the colors reflect Valentines, it also is a kit with a color palette reflecting the Haitian flag.

This kit is extremely versatile and can be used throughout the year to celebrate love and compassion.

Good Morning!!

Well it's Monday the 15th of February...where the heck has January gone?

Well Happy Belated V-day to you all!

I personally think that it's overated....no really, think about it.

I personally am a random type girl. I would rather have a random day out of the year

for my hubs to be spotaneous, then on a day it's expected. Just me I guess! But I still

did get something...haha

Anywayyyyyy.... my reason for posting.
